But even with those extras factored in, the Mac Mini is still more attainable than many high-performance desktop PCs. You’ll need to supply your own mouse, keyboard and monitor (only the Mac Pro includes a mouse and keyboard by default), and we’d recommend investing in extra storage since a 256GB drive will fill up fast. That’s a perfectly good configuration for everyday computing, especially when we’ve found even the base M1 chip to offer ridiculously fast speeds for general multitasking and strong overall performance for photo and video editing.
